You're Enough.

heart, wood, logs

Do you suffer from low esteem? Do you find your pain stem from childhood or incidents that happened in your life? Do you notice how hard you work on yourself? There is always a little lack of confidence in you. Also, “perfectionism” is the cause of low self-esteem. I want to share with you before I started writing my blog; I always have many ‘what if’ thoughts. It includes: I don’t know how people will react to my post; what if there are grammatical errors that make me look like I’m incompetent. I would tell myself, “My blog needs to be perfect, then I would question myself, What is perfect?” I know there is no such thing as perfect because it will create unnecessary stress for me. I’ve developed a strategy to challenge these negative thoughts into positive ones. One of the positive thoughts that helped me was – if I don’t post it up, then I will never find out if others like it or not. I know I can’t please everyone, so I need to do what makes me feel good. One exercise that I do every morning when I wake up is placing one hand on my stomach and the other on my heart and tell myself out loud, “I’m Enough.” I would recommend the book “The Gifts of Imperfection” by Brene Brown because it taught me how to embrace myself and let go of my negative personal experiences.

“If we can’t stand up to the never good enough and who do you think you are? we can’t move forward.”
